Baked Apple with Thrive Ancient Grains


4 tsp Umoya Foods Thrive Ancient Grains Umoya
2 tbsp Umoya Foods Thrive Baobab
2 Apples
2 tsp maple syrup
a few raisins
A dash of salt
A dollop of vegan butter (optional)
Yoghurt (optional dairy or non-dairy)


Preheat your oven to 180°C.
With a knife or serrated spoon remove the cores of your apples. Don't go straight through, you still want a base and to keep the juices inside.
Place a few raisins at the bottom and then fill the centre with Thrive Ancient Grains. Add a dash of salt and dollop of vegan butter to the top.
Drizzle over 1 tsp of maple syrup and make a little apple lid with some of the apple you removed from the centre.
Bake for 10-15 minutes until your apple is a golden brown and soft.
Dress it up with the Thrive Baobab, left over maple syrup and optional dollop of yoghurt.
